Available modules
Gas & Vapour Zone Classification
Full implementation of the IEC 60079-10-1:2020 procedure: release rate (Annex B), ventilation assessment (Annex C + EN 16798-7), dilution chart (Figure C.1), zone type (Table D.1), and zone extent (Figure D.1).
Qualitative Hazardous Area Classification
Schematic (flowchart) zone classification per Annex F. No release-rate calculation required — enter grade, dilution and ventilation availability to determine zone type from Table D.1. Generates a flowchart PNG suitable for copy-paste into documentation.
Electrostatic Hazards Evaluation
Systematic electrostatic evaluation per Annex F, Figure F.1. Walk the conductive/dissipative or insulating path to identify the expected discharge type — corona, spark, propagating brush, cone or brush — with every clause and table explained inline, and a downloadable editable block-diagram report (PPTX).
Inerting — Explosion Prevention
Swing inerting (pressure and vacuum) and flow-through purging calculations per CEN/TR 15281:2022 Annexes A and B. Determines the number of inerting cycles or purging time/flow required to reach a target O₂ concentration.
Battery Rooms — Stationary Batteries
Ventilation flow rate, natural ventilation opening area and safety distance for rooms containing stationary secondary batteries (lead-acid vented, VRLA, NiCd). Includes adequacy check against existing extraction capacity and Section 9.2 attention items.
Traction Battery Charging Areas
Minimum ventilation flow rate, natural ventilation opening area, free volume adequacy check and fixed safety distance for forklift and traction battery charging areas (lead-acid, VRLA, NiCd). Covers regulated and unregulated chargers; simultaneous charging of multiple vehicles.
Spray Booth Classification
Hazardous area classification for spray application equipment and spray booths per EN 16985:2018 Annex C. Covers liquid (multi-solvent), powder, water-based product booths and post-spray purge time calculation.
Dryers & Ovens — Flammable Substances
Safety ventilation calculations for Type A dryers and ovens per EN 1539:2015 Annex A. Covers chamber dryers (Method A) and continuous flow dryers. Assessment, design Q and design load modes; Table 2 safety requirements per operating range.
Natural Gas — Hazardous Area Classification
Outdoor installation classification per IGEM/SR/25 Edition 2. Table lookup (Table 1 freely ventilated, Table 2 congested / confined) by operating pressure and site conditions. Covers flanges, screwed fittings, valve glands and regulators. Zone 0/1/2 or NE per grade of release.
